New Love

Wyatt's is gardening, especially when he gets to pick and eat things we have been growing.

Weston's is his clothes, no matter what he is in he grabs it like this and then proceeds to suck on it.

Just a sleepy afternoon! Tharren will fall asleep almost anytime he sits down. And Weston took the hint and followed suit

These boys are so sweet together, I hope and pray that they are the best of friends!

There is a road in Flint that is obviously called Weston Dr. Too cool, I had to take a picture. I am going to frame it and hang it in his room.

Taking inspiration from my friend Bonnie! I took this picture so I could paint from it but remembered my friend Bonnie doing this same thing to pictures she took and I love them, so I copied. Thanks Bonnie for the inspiration!

Crossroads Village

My friend Jennifer introduced me to this great place today. We went with our kids and rode on the steam engine train, the paddle wheel boat, saw apple juice made from the cider press, the black smith bend metal, and heard some incredible blue grass music. What a great day! Wyatt loved it, especially the train.

June Bugs to Japanese Beetles

June Bugs and now these! SIck! And it is mating season. These are swarming our trees but during daylight hours now. This is the tree right off my deck. Needless to say I called a bug guy. Something has to be done. There are thousands of these beetles flying around eating the leaves off our trees.

Knee High by the 4th of July

My Grandpa grew up in Iowa and he said that the corn should be knee high by the 4th of July. Does it count if it was knee high on Wyatt?

We got a garden swing for our back yard and love it!

On our way to church. Wyatt is in his cute outfit from Grammie and Papa, isn't he handsome?

Weston is a scooter. Everytime I put him on his tummy he scoots all over, he almost scooted off of the stair when I was taking this picture.

Reality Check

It is finally starting to set in that Tharren is no longer a student. We payed our first house payment (more than we expected) and Tharren got his first pay check (less than we expected). Tharren was gone all day on the 4th of July and has one day off in the next 8. Welcome to real life (sniff, sigh!) And so starts the next 4 years of our lives. Tharren announced today the he is 1/96th of the way done with residency. He said "hey that's something to hang your hat on!" Ahh, Tharren, ever the optimist, how I love you!
Tharren has been going nuts with food storage, it is wonderful we feel so prepared! We went to the church cannery and got wheat and borrowed their canner so we could put all our food storage in #10 cans. Tharren stayed up til 2 in the morning 2 nights in a row canning! Wyatt loved helping put the oxygen packets in and the stickers on!
