Weston's first hair cut!

I finally cut his hair. It was a bitter sweet moment. I LOVED his long hair but between the food that was always in it and the bed head, it was a never ending frustration. Besides, I love that you can see the cute shape of his head (can a head shape be cute?) and I think he looks so grown up. I just love this little poopster!

Up North

Tharren had a rare weekend off so we headed North to Mackinaw Island for a few days. I was totally miserable with a cold but took some strong cold medicine and tried not to complain too much. Which Tharren would say I did a terrible job at. It was cold, in the low forties but we bundled up and saw the island and the beach. Aside from freezing, we ate, swam, and read by the fire in our hotel. The kids were happy and it was a fun little get away. I am sure not ready for the winter and I feel like it has already settled in here, it is supposed to snow Friday. Are you kidding me?! Why on earth do we live in this state anyway?! Oh yeah, a little thing called residency, over-rated!!!

Pumpkin Patch

I love all things Fall. The colors, the smells, the food, the feeling! So naturally we couldn't resist taking a trip to the pumpkin patch. This is a great little place that has a cider mill, pick your own pumpkins and pick your own apples. We had good time, for about 5 minutes!. Wyatt was terrified of the tractor (who knows why, he usually loves them) But this one was moving, Weston cried most of the time, and Tharren and I tried everything we could think of to make them happy. Ah, life with kids! The picture of Weston crying in the pumpkin patch pretty much sums it up. I still thought it was worth it and loved the fall feeling!

A visit from Merrie and Elsha

I can't believe that I am just now blogging about this! But here it is. While Tharren was off gallivanting with his brothers, dad and brothers-in-law over Labor Day, Merrie and Elsha came to visit us. I was such an amazing week filled with laughter, good food, late nights, and lots of garage saleing.

We went to the Renaissance festival, Aunt Merrie taught Wyatt how to shoot a bow...

We tried on tiaras...

And went on the big rope swing.

I guess you could say it was a success, or at least exhausting! We miss you everyday Merrie and Elsha! Remind me again why we aren't neighbors?

I love what a whitey Elsha is compared to my two darkies!

I think this picture is priceless! I love all of their faces!
