Where are you Spring?

I love this picture, I know it is a little blurry but I couldn't resist these cute boys!

How do you ever say no to these big brown eyes? Sometimes it is easier than you think! But oh, how they melt my heart!

Weston has wings! As his hair gets longer it curls at the ends. I love it! Weston has just discovered that there are things in the kitchen cupboards so he belines it straight there when ever he can, I am off to buy locks right now! Let the baby proofing begin!
There is not much else going on around here, time passes slowly at times and I can't help but think of the quote by President Monson,

"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly."

I try to keep this in mind as we are nearing the start of our 5th month of winter here and we are all feeling more than a little cabin fever. But life is good and my children are indeed my greatest blessing!

Potty Training a Knight

The whole process was totally easier than I thought it would be. Wyatt did so great and hasn't had an accident in a whole week, even at night. His knight costume was his reward for filling up two sticker charts from all his potty training success. Wyatt came into my room this morning dressed just like this, I said "look Weston there is a knight in our room!" To which Wyatt galantly took off his helmet and said "No mom, it's just me!" I love this boy!

Weston Being Crazy!

This is Weston's new thing. He gets all crazy and does this constantly! I think he is learning from his brother. Oh Heaven help me! But you have got to admit it is pretty cute!
We had a rare day that was actually above freezing! 33 degrees to be exact. So we just had to take advantage of the "beautiful" weather. We took our kids on a snow hike. We had a great time. Weston was a trooper and Wyatt was thrilled to be out looking for "Arctic Fox". His description, not ours. I am guessing it is because Wyatt's favorite TV show right now is Planet Earth, yes the documentary. He begs to watch an episode every night.

Notice how Wyatt's snot is not even frozen! Warm indeed!

Tharren had a pretty easy rotation this month so he decided to build shelves in the unfinished part of our basement for food storage. They turned out AMAZING! Tharren is turning into quite the handy man. He loves to have a project to keep him busy. It must be because his mom instilled into him "Working children are happy children". This is so the case with Tharren! What can I say, I married into a wonderful family!

These boys are so stir crazy, I don't know what we would do without our basement, I just wish they were old enough to play down there, happily, alone! Maybe next winter!

Weston Walking

Weston is learning all sorts of new tricks! We borrowed this little walker from a friend and Weston loves getting around on his own. He also learned to climb our stairs! Yikes, I can't believe my baby is almost not a baby any more!

Weston Waving

I know that this video is kinda dark but it is the only one I have been able to catch of his cute wave!

It's Freezing!

These past couple of weeks have been ridiculously cold. We have had temps all the way down to -25 with the wind chill and highs at 6 degrees. Add on the foot and a half of snow and I would say we live in a frozen tundra. Needless to say we are surviving but sometimes just barely. I can tell my boys are getting cabin fever bad, as am I! I am dreaming of Spring but know that we have a couple more months before it even begins to thaw around here.
